Session Meeting Summaries
The session of East Main meets approximately every other month (based on group availability) rotating between 3 hour meetings and 1.5 hour meetings each time. Below are summaries from those meetings. Deacon Meeting Summaries
The deacons are the care ministry of East Main Church. They serve the congregation through prayer, visitation, phone calls, funeral dinners, welcoming new babies, and many other ways as described on our Leadership page. Mission Meeting Minutes
The missions committee of East Main oversees the support of local, national, and global missionaries through prayer, conversation and check-ins and through generous donations. They also review and allocate gifts for student, family and individual mission trips for those in the East Main congregation motivated to go both near and far. They meet monthly. Finance Committee Meeting Minutes
The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending policies to Session regarding finances and property as well as procedures to enact such policies.
- The Committee develops and recommends a budget for the Church in accordance with the priorities of Session
- Maintains records of and reports to Session on budget execution, and recommendations on re-allocation of resources where appropriate.
- Maintains a current report of prioritized capital expenditure needs in consultation with Session
- The Committee arranges for and oversees an independent financial review annually
- Fulfills other related requests of Session as they may arise.
