Faith Foundations from Birth to Grade 5

Our History

"Our Children's Ministry is dedicated to creating a nurturing and vibrant environment where children can grow in their faith to become men and women that love God and others, develop meaningful relationships, and explore the wonders of being Jesus' followers. Our mission is to nurture faith, build relationships, inspire curiosity, create lasting memories, and empower families to be their children's primary disciple-makers."

Sunday Mornings

JAM (Jesus And Me) Children's Classes

For Children 2 YEARS - 5TH GRADE (Available during the school year)

During this one hour faith formation, children learn about God’s care for them in Jesus, how to follow Him, and their identity as children of God.

Preschool children learn theological foundations about their identity in Christ with the HYFI curriculum. When they are ready for grade school, the foundation laid in preschool will serve as a solid base to prepare them for a chronological study of Scripture with The Gospel Project Curriculum.

Our teachers and teen helpers are dedicated to serving God loving and teaching our children how to be more Christ-like. All volunteers serving with children have clearances on file with the church and work in teams leading children.

Nursery & The Mommy Suite 

The nursery is open for families to use throughout the summer months.

Drop off nursery care is available during the school year for infants and toddlers during both worship services on Sunday morning. We're excited to welcome your little ones and to provide them with gentle care, fun, and opportunities to hear about God's great love for them. JAM families can register for the nursery at the JAM check-in locations; new families can go directly to the nursery. Care is provided by scheduled adult volunteers with clearances on file with the church.

NOTE: The Mommy Suite area (for nursing moms) is now located in 301 (corner balcony room with couches).

Cozy Play Zone 

Our Cozy Play Zone is a play space set up in our Welcome Center for parents and little ones who need a bit more wiggle room than the standard church pew. Parents can still hear and see what is going on in the service while their children can make some noise and play with toys. As always, East Main Church welcomes children in the services. However, if you feel uncomfortable and want to let them get their wiggles out, the Cozy Corner is a great place to do it.

TeamKID: Good News will take kids on a journey through the four Gospel books that tell us about who Jesus is and why He came. In this volume of TeamKID, kids will explore the themes and purposes of the Gospels and learn how each account of the same story seamlessly weaves different details together to share the good news of Jesus and the kingdom of God.

4th & 5th Grade Girls

4th & 5th Grade Girls

This fun, easy-to-read book engages girls in the twenty most important truths they need. They will learn about difficult challenges they will face in the world today with sections addressing: Lies about God, lies about friendship, lies about the future, lies about myself, lies about boys, and more! Lies Girls Believe is designed to help girls to fully understand the Truth so they can live the way God meant for her to live—free!

With easy-to-read chapters, this book focuses on ten core lies: Living God is not for me, God is mad at me, it’s not my fault, I can’t control my temper, it doesn’t matter what I watch, reading the Bible isn’t for me, and more. Through the Davis’ fictional and humorous stories, boys will begin to trade the lies they have believed for the truth God intends. They will learn to swim upstream against the tides of deception and be equipped to recognize future lies as he develops a passion for knowing and living God’s Word.

It is important for us that you enjoy worship, knowing that your kids are safe with us. Our background-checked teachers, check-in and checkout system, and security team ensure that your children are in a loving, clean, and safe and healthy environment.

Fun is our plus

Here at East Main, we believe that fun fosters learning, and we want your kids to keep coming back because it is fun to learn about God, interact with their peers, and have a sense of belonging. We incorporate games, encourage smiles and laughter, and love celebrating God’s goodness.
