Becomers
The Becomers Class meets in Room
101. The hour consists of singing, prayer, Bible study, and
discussion. The Bible studies consist of topical studies and
studies of individual books. The class has studied the Gospel
of John and First Peter. The Becomers sponsor a World Vision
child from Kenya. The class also gets together for various
social events.
Bereans
The Bereans Class is based on studies geared toward
discussion and class involvement. The curriculum includes Bible
study lessons and occasional guest speakers addressing current
topics or questions raised within the class. “Feed My
Sheep-Catering for Missions” evolved in this class when members
felt a need to aid the youth mission project in Mexico. Studying
the Word, missions, and Christian fellowship are the Bereans’
cornerstone. Coffee is served every week. The class meets in
Room 301.
Christian Friends
The Christian Friends Class meets in Room 105. The David C.
Cook curriculum is used for weekly Bible studies. The class is
mission-minded and supports a child through World Vision. The
class also supports Lifting Burdens, Inc. and helps needy
families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The class contributes to
other missions as the need arises. The group strives to be
better Christians in their everyday lives.
Pathfinders
The Pathfinders Class is made up of
couples and singles of all ages which meet in Room 108. Various
topics are studied in a relaxed atmosphere. The curriculum
consists of topical studies and books of the Bible as determined
by the class. Visitors are encouraged.
Sonseekers
The Sonseekers Class spends the vast
majority of the time studying the Bible. The class uses study
guides to study books of the Bible or various topics such as the
Sermon on the Mount. The class is one in which participation is
encouraged. The class is composed of married couples as well as
singles from mid-twenties to early fifties and meets in Room
303.
Tri-Fidelis
The Tri-Fidelis Class was formed by the
merger of the Priscilla and Aquilla Class formed in 1928, the
Fidelis Class formed in 1938 and the Tri-S Class formed in
1946. This class of “retired-age” adults meet together to share,
help and support each other, and to spread God’s love by
supporting
ministry needs here and throughout the world. The class also
gathers three times a year for dinner and social time. The class
meets in the Parlor.
Marriage and Family
The Marriage and Family Class began
in February 2005. The class began with a curriculum from Family
Life, with the topic of Team Building in Your Marriage. Many
couples in the church have been excited to share their
experiences, joys and sorrows as they seek God’s word for
guidance. The class is comprised of couples that are engaged,
those that are still “honeymooning” and those with several years
together. Each week the class continues to grow and learn from
each other and Biblical principles. To date, the class has
decided to continue to study marriage and family issues;
however, the curriculum is flexible as to the needs of the
class. The class meets in Room 106.
